Rushes

Rushes is a participatory project that creates connections between videos, sounds, and the places they come from. Each submission becomes part of a living archive that grows through a common curiosity to document the world as we encounter it.

Rushes are unedited fragments of video and audio that the platform maps, analyses, and categorises. Each fragment represents a moment tied to a specific time, place, and author within the library. Locations are organised hierarchically—from global to country, region, and place—revealing geographic relationships between them.

The platform assembles these fragments across different users and locations into channels. Channels help find the signal in the noise and create new narrative strands across the archive that can be automatically generated based on semantic input.
